MAP
Fostering the dialogue and display of hope and truth through art;
Creating a space and resource for connecting artists, church, and community;
By the grace of Christ, in the power of the Spirit, to the glory of God.
We believe God has a call and purpose for art. That through creative expression, we can explore and experience what the Creator has imparted to us. Some of MAP’s Happenings include Art Somethings, Gallery Exhibitions, Sacred Art Exhibitions, and other art projects. Art Somethings are an open dialogue about art issues, critiques, and techniques. The MAP Gallery is a permanent gallery space in the lower level of ROLC. The gallery, in addition to other showings, regularly participates in JP Centre/South Street’s First Thursdays art openings (www.jpcentresouth.org). MAP also supports the exhibition of Sacred Art, most notably through the annual production of Stations of the Cross held for the two weeks prior and including Good Friday (www.stations.mapboston.org). In addition, MAP aims to organize and support orther art projects and artistic expression. We welcome proposals from any artist in our community. MAP is a member of Christians in the Visual Arts (www.civa.org).
