Hospitality
Hospitality (meeting physical needs for spiritual benefit) is a great way for us to exercise our “serving” muscles. Sometimes it is fun and easy, other times it is inconvenient and requires sacrifice. It is a true blessing when we are served in this way. It is a concrete, focused and practical way to share God’s love and provision with others. In the bible we read “Don’t forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” (Hebrews 13:2) “Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” (Romans 12:13). Hospitality is under the umbrella of the Deaconate Ministry at River of Life Church.
Through this ministry, not only are social events such as quarterly brunches planned, but also temporary housing and meals for families with new babies coordinated.
